A Day at the Pool

Recently, Ian and I spent the day at the pool at his brother's house. We are both ghostly white, so we desperately needed to see the sun. We had a mellow day and ended up BBQing later that evening.
Here are a few photos of the nephews I took.

Kyan is becoming quite the little fish!

How cute are Aidan's tiny googles?!

And here is one of my hot hot hubby!

Happy 40th Birthday Mom

My mom decided to have a toga party to celebrate her 40th birthday. It turned out really cute! Her friend owns a keg company, so she had empty kegs all over the yard and floating in the pool. She also had couches in the backyard and a fire pit. Of course, everyone dressed in togas and we all had a blast!

Light Sabers

Ian and his brother, Neil, are obsessed with Star Wars. Dorks, I know. So, Ian's brother bought them both light sabers and every time they get together now, they have light saber duels. Even Ian's nephew, Aidan, has gotten involved. Here are a few pics of what I have to endure. They aren't the best, but you get the idea.

Disneyland

Ian and I went to Disneyland to celebrate our birthdays and it was a good thing we got in for free, because it was hot that day! It was during the random heat wave that hit Southern California last week, right before it got rainy with tornados! It was so unbearably hot, that we ended up leaving after a few hours because we were so miserable. We did get to enjoy our favorite rides though and an ice cream, so it was worth it.

Our Birthdays

For our birthdays we ate out... a lot.

On Ian's birthday, his family joined us for dinner at Lucille's BBQ. Ian loves that place and that is all he wanted to do for his birthday. He also received a new long board skateboard, which he has been riding everyday since.

On my birthday, Ian made me breakfast in bed (my favorite) and bought me an apron and a cake stand. I have wanted both for so long, believe it or not. It makes me look so domesticated, which is completely false! Later we went a
nd saw Prince Caspian, which was ok. I thought it would be a little better than it was, but it was by no means bad. Then we had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory.

Then, we had dinner with my mom's family and the next day had dinner with my dad's family. So much food! Here are some pictures of us stuffing our faces!

Happy Birthday, My Love!

Happy 31st birthday Ian! Can you believe you are 31?! You are getting old!

I just wanted to let you know I am so grateful for you and all you do. I don't know what I would do without you! Even though we aren't perfect, you are perfect to me. You are the most wonderful husband and my best friend and of course, the most amazing chef! I am so thankful for you today, yesterday, and everyday to come. I love you and I hope you have a wonderful birthday!
