Christmas

Christmas morning I woke up around 6:30am and headed to my mom's house. My little sisters usually wake up pretty early on Christmas and I wanted to be there to watch them open all their gifts. I thought they would already be awake when I got there, but they weren't! The whole house was still asleep!

So, I started making cinnamon rolls and my first try at a breakfast casserole. Eventually, my step dad woke up and everyone else shortly after. I don't think we started opening gifts until about 8:30am!

Next year, I am sleeping in, hopefully.

What Santa brought.

Waiting to come out and see what Santa brought.

So excited.

So tired from opening gifts.

The girls. (a horrible morning pic)

After my mom's, I went home and waited for Ian to get off work. Then we went to my dad's, but I didn't take any pictures there. Finally, we went to Ian's mom's house for Christmas dinner. The kids had already opened their gifts, since we arrived so late, but we were just in time for dinner. We enjoyed a wonderful meal and just relaxed and watch the kids run around for the rest of the night.

All the kids with Grandpa.

He was obsessed with the movie, Mickey's Christmas Carol.

Christmas Eve

Every Christmas Eve, we go to my mom's house for dinner and we get to open one gift. This year was no exception. We watched A Christmas Story, enjoyed a wonderful meal, played with my little sisters, and opened gifts.

The girls told me they wanted beads to make necklaces and stuff,
so that is what I got them.

Bailey made Ian and I this cute little snowman box and filled it with
Ian's favorite, Reese's Peanut Butter cups!

Since Ian had to work on Christmas, we exchanged our gifts the night before. It kind of sucked having to do it that way, but it worked.

I got Ian a LOST t-shirt and he absolutely loved it! Of course, I knew he would.

Ian bought me a baby photography book for inspiration!

Gingerbread House Party

Last Saturday, we had a couple of friends over for the third annual Gingerbread House Making Party. It was so much fun just enjoying a few beverages, treats, and each other company. Mine and Ian's house fell apart, because I was too impatient to wait for the frosting to dry on the walls, so I just slathered it in candy. I can't wait to do it again next year!

The Candy.

I have no idea what was going on here. Apparently, it was only funny to the Sukraws.

Check out this beauty!

Decorating The Christmas Tree

I have been lagging on my posting. I have just had so much going on lately and not enough time.

I have slacked off a little this Christmas too. I usually start my shopping in September or October, but I was out of ideas for gifts this year and didn't get started until November. I was still done with my shopping a few weeks ago, but I mostly bought gift cards this year and I hate getting family gift cards.

Also, my cards are usually in the mail the weekend after Thanksgiving, but again, I lagged and didn't get them out until a little over a week ago. And they were ugly! I designed so many cards in Photoshop, but Ian and I just didn't have the time to go take pictures of ourselves and we ended up with one of the cheapest and ugliest cards left at the store! Oh well.

Below are a few pictures of our tree. We actually got it Thanksgiving weekend! Is it just me, or did the tree prices go up this year too? Well, I hope everyone's Christmas celebrations have been wonderful and not too stressful!

The Moore Family

Here are a few of my favorites from my photoshoot with the Moore family. I love the one below, because it is so true of what happens with little kids - they don't want to pose and smile for the camera, but look how happy mom and dad are just watching their kids! I can't wait to shoot this family again and hopefully, I will do a much better job on the next one!

Wyatt - 3 Months Old

This little cutie turned 3 months old earlier this month. He is getting so big, I can't believe it! He is so mellow too and such a good baby!
